Tummy Tuck Abdominoplasty In Hyderabad

Tummy Tuck – Abdominoplasty

A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty performed by our plastic surgeon, can dramatically improve the appearance and strength of your abdominal region, revitalize your physique and give you the flat belly you’ve always wanted. Excess fat or skin on the abdomen and lax abdominal muscles can occur after dramatic weight loss or pregnancy. In cases where the problem does not respond to dieting or exercise, the only way to resolve the problem is surgical removal of excess skin.

Tummy Tuck (or abdominoplasty) removes loose skin, stretch marks and fat and tightens weakened, separated muscles in your abdominal area – all of which can have dramatic results for you not just physically, but in terms of altering many of the limitations you’ve come to live with (like not being able to wear normal clothing, or not feeling comfortable when intimate).

Advantages of Tummy Tuck Abdominoplasty In Hyderabad

At First Consultation

Observe for the surgical scars on the abdomen and elicit history regarding previous surgeries. Patients were examined in the supine position to assess the strength and integrity of the abdominal musclesand rule out any umblical hernias and incisional hernias. Then in the standing position the extra excess skin below the umblical level is assessed so that the extent of skin that has to be removed at the time of surgery can be planned. At the same time whether the patient needs partial tummy tuck or total tummy tuck procedure can be assessed and is discussed in detail with the patient.

There are different techniques in achieving the best tummy tuck result. The appropriate technique will be selected basing on the patient’s condition, the extent of the procedure along with the patient and surgeon’s preference. The procedure is under general anaesthesia.

A Complete Abdominoplasty (Full Tummy Tuck) procedure, an incision is made from hip to hip just above the pubic area. Another incision is made around the navel to loosen the surrounding skin. The skin is separated from the abdominal wall exposing the muscle and fascia to be tightened. Excess skin is removed after tightening and suturing the abdominal muscle. The navel is brought out through the overlying skin in its new location. A smaller incision is made in Partial Abdominoplasty (Mini Tummy Tuck). The skin and fat of the lower abdomen are detached from the muscle fascia. The skin is stretched down and excess skin is removed. The belly button is either left in place or repositioned. This procedure is done when there is small amount of abdominal skin to be removed and no significantly protruding abdominal muscle wall.

For the first few days after your tummy tuck surgery, your abdomen will be a little swollen and tender. You might also experience a little pain and numbness. This is all fairly routine, usually quite minor and short-term, and can be managed with medication.

It’s also possible that, immediately after the surgery, you may have a little difficulty standing up straight as your body adjusts to the changes. Still, you should try to move about gently as soon as the nurses and doctors say it’s okay as getting up and moving around can help you reduce the risk of blood clots.

Abdominal binder is provided for you to support your tummy. You may feel sore, swollen and bruised for about one week

You should walk with your body a little bit bend to avoid stretching the wound, then try to straighten your body as you can to avoid painful back and waist.

Normally, you can expect to return to your typical routine after two to four weeks, and you should avoid heavy lifting and other strenuous activities for a few more weeks afterward in order to make sure you give your newly-tightened stomach muscles plenty of time to heal.
