A Better Facial Surgeon
Facelift (rhytidectomy) is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to help men and women achieve a more youthful facial appearance. As we age, our skin loses its elasticity and begins to sag. This process can leave your face looking tired and worn, with deep wrinkles, hollow cheeks, jowls and loose skin in the lower face and neck. A facelift can address all of these issues and help you look 10 or even 20 years younger. Facelift surgery in Hyderabad
What is face lifting surgery?
Face lifting surgery is known as rhytidectomy in medical terms. It is a cosmetic surgical procedure for men and women, to help achieve a comparatively radiant and youthful appearance. Aging can loosen and make your skin elastic causing your skin to look saggy, wrinkly, worn out with jowls in the lower face and neck and the face lifting procedure and face lifting surgery holds the potential to correct and fix these issues, by tightening the facial tissues resulting in a more vibrant look. The face lifting surgery is however usually done on the bottom two-thirds of the face or sometimes the neck.

Step 1 – The patient will be given local anesthesia before starting the procedure. The facelift surgery can be done with implants, fillers or fat transfer based on your skin’s requirement.
Step 2 – Depending one the type of facelift you choose whether it is a traditional, minimal access cranial suspension or a keyhole surgery, the surgeon will place the incisions.
Traditional facelift – The incision starts at your temples and continues down to your earends in your lower scalp. Sometimes it can also be made under your chin.
Minimal Access Cranial Suspension (MACS) – small incisions are made to tighten the facial muscles and drain out the excess fat.
Keyhole surgery – Small surgical incisions will be made on the skin to carefully remove the excess fat. This surgery is typically done for brow and upper face lifts, offering a short recovery period.
Step 3 – The incisions are closed and sealed with sutures. The sutures can dissolve with time or would be removed with time, the surgeon will inform you beforehand.
Traditional face lift
A traditional face lift will involve your surgeon making a surgical incision along your hairline, down past the front of your ears and into the hairline behind the ears. Because of the careful positioning of the incision, your scarring will be hidden within the hair and natural creases of the face and it will fade quickly until it is barely visible. Once the incision has been made the surgeon will very carefully separate the skin from the underlying tissue, before repositioning excess fat and tightening facial muscles. The skin will then be lifted and stitched into place along the original incision and any excess skin removed.
Minimal-access cranial suspension (MACS)
The main difference between this type of face lift surgery and the traditional method is that the incisions made are smaller and the tightening of facial muscles and removal of excess fat is done through these small surgical incisions. Excess fat can also be removed using this face lift procedure.
If keyhole surgery is the right option for you, your surgeon will make several very small incisions into the skin on your face. Then he or she will feed a telescopic camera, called an endoscope, beneath the skin and the live image will be displayed on a monitor – it is from this that the surgeon can see exactly which muscles to tighten and how much excess fat to remove, if any. Keyhole surgery is most commonly used for brow lifts and upper face lifts and offers a short recovery time and will result in less scarring, but it is not suitable for everyone.
